I have always enjoyed having the smells of an air freshener in my car, but can’t stand the little trees. ย I’ve gone back and forth on the little gels you buy that go in a really cute clip for your car – but they’re so darn expensive and honestly, they last like a week.
Playing around with my Young Living Essential Oils has gotten me to get creative with ways to use scents. ย I’ve never really thought about it, but so many things in my life have smells. ย I do the scented wax, the room sprays, the fabric refresher and car air fresheners. ย So, why not make my own? ย Then, I’mย able to make something cute that also smells good. ย It’s a win-win!
To make your own car air fresheners, you’ll need:
felt
20-25ย drops essential oils
ribbon
Cut your felt into your favorite shape. ย If you’d like to make a Mickey or Minnie head, I’ve included a printable cutout that you can either trace around or hold on your felt and cut around.

Add a small slit at the top of the felt and push through a piece of ribbon for hanging. ย Add 15ย drops of your favorite essential oil to the front and 10-15 drops to the back, spreading the drops around. ย Use your finger to spread the oils out. ย Hang in your car and refresh by adding more drops every few weeks.
