This BBQ chicken pizza is an easy weeknight meal the whole family will enjoy!
What You Need to Make BBQ Chicken Recipe
To whip up this pizza, here’s what you’ll need to pick up at the store:
- 1 pizza crust – I use a store-bought crust-in-a-can because I’m lazy.
- Precooked and chopped or shredded chicken
- 1/2 red onion, chopped
- yellow, green, and/or red peppers
- Mozzarella cheese
- Bbq sauce {I use Sweet Baby Rays}
How to Make BBQ Chicken Pizza: Step-by-Step Recipe
There’s really no recipe “portioning” with this recipe. I just chop stuff up and spread it on the dough!
- Layout your crust on a cookie sheet or pizza pan and cook in the oven for 5 mins at the temp on the package {or maybe like 425 degrees if you have your own dough!}
- Spread BBQ sauce onto the entire pizza dough. I’d say I use maybe 3-4 Tablespoons, but I really just kind of eyeball it!
- Layer the BBQ sauce with chicken, mozzarella cheese, onions, and peppers. I pile mine up pretty well because we like a hearty pizza. Again, there’s no measuring here, just grab and layer until it looks perfectly full!
- Bake in the oven at 425 degrees for approx. 10 mins or until the cheese is melted.
Easy, peasy weeknight meal everyone will devour!
Oh girl! This is our FAVORITE pizza, we usually make it on the grill for a smokey taste. But seeing this pic just makes me hungry now! Thanks for sharing at Show Stopper Saturdays!

Loving this pizza! In fact, it’s my favorite kind of pizza…along the side of a chicken alfredo with jalapenos. I’m pinning onto the SSS party board and my pizza board!
OMG,I made this recipe for my family tonight-my daughter said”Mom,you’re the most awesome person ever”.My husband only left us one slice each lol.
