Ok, so I’ve been on WordPress for years now, and I still find new plugins that I didn’t know existed! Here are 10 super helpful WordPress Plugins that I think most people can and SHOULD be using on their blogs!
wp-db-backup <– this not really optional. you need to backup your site. WP sites get hacked. The easy way to fix is to just restore a recent backup and delete all the files that were hacked.
wp-super-cache or W3 Total Cache – helps wordpress pages load faster
Google Analytics Dashboard for WP – nice one to easily add your code to your site
ALL in one SEO pack – easy and quick to fix most SEO on each page
Google XML Sitemap – helps Google keep track of when you visit your website for changes.
SEO-friendly images – set the correct title tags on photos
Viper’s video quicktags – let you quickly add your youtube video to your website.
Broken Link Checker – Google does not like broken links. this will help find them if they happen.
Jetpack – JetPack is an official WordPress.com plug-in that gives your self-hosted WordPress blog a truckload of extra features. The plug-in serves up visitor stats, social media sharing options, and After The Deadline, a grammar and spell checker.
Co-Schedule – This is an affiliate link, but let me tell you – Co-Schedule has changed my bloggy life! It’s a drag and drop editorial calendar but it also integrates your shares to social media. You can schedule a post to share on FB and Twitter and Pinterest – and have it go out the day your post goes live, one week later, and again three months later – all in one spot! Super Easy!

Thanks so much! That was very helpful for me 🙂 I had already some of the plugins installed, but today I installed few more from your recommendations 🙂
This is a great list Melanie! I use many of the same plugins and now I have a couple more to check out! I use CoSchedule too and I’m a huge fan! It IS a game changer! I love the ability to be able to schedule social media posts all in one place. It saves me so much time!
