This month, 6 of us got together for an #octobercraftalong and put together 6 ideas for using up that leftover Halloween Candy! I whipped up some Rice Krispie Treats with a little something special mixed in!
Halloween Chocolate Rice Krispie Treats
So you bought 5 bags of candy anticipating a huge caravan of kids this year, and only used 1 1/2 bags.
What do you do with all that leftover candy?
I mean – other that the obvious answer of devouring it piece by piece and hiding the wrappers so your family doesn’t know you ate 20 mini snickers in one night….
I got creative and made Chocolate Rice Krispie treats with a mix of chocolates left from the bag!
I chopped up the chocolates in small batches using my blender. Then, I made my Rice Krispies as I usually do, and mixed in the chocolate “powder” mix with the Rice Krispies before pouring them into the melted marshmallows. It made for a deliciously chocolatey, caramely {is that a word?} treat!
So many other great ideas out there for using up leftover Halloween Candy.
