Ground Beef Stroganoff
Ingredients
- 1+ lbs ground beef
- 8 oz sour cream
- 1 can cream of mushroom soup
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon beef bouillon granules
- 1 pkg egg noodles
Instructions
In large skillet brown beef and drain.
Return meat to skillet and add all other ingredients, except noodles.
Blend together well and heat thoroughly on med-low.
Boil noodles while preparing meat mixture.
Serve stroganoff over cooked noodles.

No, each ingredient is teaspoon. The previous comment asked what the T meant, and I was on my phone. If I typed T garlic salt it would be Tablespoon. The smaller t. is teaspoon. Sorry for any confusion. I’ll update the recipe to say tsp.

you could try greek yogurt I suppose… but I can’t promise!

I don’t see why not! It would make it extra delicious!
I use Cream of Chicken instead of Cream of Mushroom. Alfredo would taste good I think. I am making it right now.
Would one teaspon beef boullion equal one cube?
I do believe that’s the right amount, but I’d check the bouillon jar just to be sure!

I do not add the can of water.
So making this for dinner right now, I have substitute the sour creme for top the tator and real chopped onion for onion powder… So far I’ve taste tested and I love it!!!! Thanks for the recipe ?
Can you use beef broth instead of the bouillon cube ? If so, how much ?
How would this recipe taste if I substituted grd. lamb for the grd. beef?
I’ve never had lamb, so I’m not the right one to ask – however, the sauce itself has quite a bit of flavor, so that might not make too much of a difference!

Does any water go into this recipe?
I accidentally used 16 oz of sour cream so I doubled the bouillon & onion powder & just added a couple tablespoons of butter. It was delicious & both kids approved as well!! Hallelujah!! Haha So yummy!
What size cream of mushroom soup?
I substituted onions for the onion powder. It was a hit with the wife and kids. Definitely a keeper recipe. Very easy to make, takes very little prep and cook time. I would give it 5 stars if I could.
