I’m a movie watcher. I’ll watch my favorite movies 2, 3, 4…up to 108 times. Yup, that would be Dirty Dancing that I watched 108+ times. It’s a little thing called obsession when it comes to that movie. Rounding out my top 5 favorite movies are: Enough, Shawshank Redemption, Sixteen Candles – and most recently…ARGO….
However, I like movies for a number of reasons. I like Chick Flicks for the entertainment value and cute dudes. I love action flicks for the music and the special effects. Dramas are perfect for those moments when I feel like really getting into a good story. I watch so many movies, sometimes I think I’ve seen every movie out there…and then I find a list shoved in an old journal, with a tattered cover, from June 17, 1998.
The article listed the Top 100 Greatest American Movies, According to the American Film Institute. I’ve seen 24 of them. 24 out of 100 of the Greatest Movies of all time. Somehow I don’t think Dirty Dancing will ever be on this list….ever!
Maybe my film viewing taste needs to grow up a bit, eh? But, it got me thinking about movies today and made me decide to start knocking some of these movies out – at least the Top 10…
