Menu Planning Board

I’m not one who plans out her meals one month in advance.  I’ve always been the lazy planner.  I think of something about 3:30 and rush to get it ready.  This meal board idea was never something I would have made for myself, but at our last MOPS meeting, this was on the agenda.  I played along and made my MENU PLANNING BOARD, knowing full well, I would never use the darn thing.

Fast forward a few months, and wouldn’t you know…. I LOVE my menu planning board!

It’s a good reminder for me of what I need to plan for and it also reminds my husband what’s going on.  No more texts asking what’s for dinner!  It was so simple to make – with frame I already had on hand, scrapbook paper, some ribbon, clothespins, and one crayon box {for the meal title slips}

I like that it’s a weekly plan.  I don’t have to do too much planning…that would be totally out of my league, but a week, I can do that!  I find myself shopping for exactly what I need for the week, and I don’t have a bunch of food leftover that never gets used.

BRAVO for going outside my box and trying something new!

Do you use any type of meal planning board in your house?

  1. This is very cute! I love that you have the pocket on the front. I have one, but I don’t have a pocket. I’m might have to steal your idea! Thank you for sharing! I’d love to have you visit me at Get Your Crap Together! We have a Pattern Party with free patterns from the 1st of the month to the 10th that I’d love for you to check out. See you soon!

  2. I love this! I have a menu board but, since I have to erase/write on it each week, I find myself getting lazy and not using it. This would work much better!

    I have two link parties {one for Facebook and one for pinworthy blog posts like this one} going on over at Just Us Four. I hope you will come join the parties 🙂
