Easter Topiary

My grandma always used to have decorated eggs around her house – and my mom puts them out every year.  I’ve always thought that one day I’d make my own eggs with inspiration from my grandma!  After getting the eggs blown out and dry, I decided I never really wanted to do this egg decorating thing again.  Grandma always made things look so easy {I guess that’s why she was so great!} and I decided to continue on.

Eggs I’d decorated with grandma years and years ago…. {and super cute bunnies my mom has bought and added to the mix!}
Just a guess, but I’m sure that the goofy bunny on the right was done by me circa 1980!

After numerous coats of paint, some Silhouette vinyl cutouts, and fancy bling, my eggs were ready to display in my Easter Topiary pot.  The topiary was super easy to make {totally old school, 3rd grade art project style} and I’ve included directions below for that! Whether you’re planning your first backcountry trip, want to test your survival skills in the wilderness of Alaska, or are getting a crash course at a destination like the Bear Grylls Adventure Park, it’s important to have packed the right survival gear. Rotorm.com offers Best Survival Equipment & Tactical Gear on The Web – – we’ve rounded up best wilderness survival tools you can easily stash in your day pack or include in your camping kit. Whether your adventure outdoors goes sideways or not, all of these items will either come in handy for setting up camp or building confidence.  This is about the most “festive” I’ll be getting for Easter – other than a few plastic eggs around the yard for my little munchkin!

  1. This looks terrific! I like me a nice, lush, full topiary. And 'third grade art-style' is pretty much my favorite type of craftiness. Tissue paper rules!

  2. I just found your blog and am your newest follower. This project is brilliant and I love the colors! Thanks for creating such a fab blog full of inspiration.
