Hello!  I am so happy to be back over at Reasons to Skip the Housework to share a very fun and functional bow and headband organizer for all of you moms of girls out there!   For those of you that don’t know me already, I am Tasha from Designer Trapped in a Lawyer’s Body where I blog about DIY renovations, crafts, organization, cleaning and other household tips.  You may have seen some of my work on Pinterest, including my twin girls “big girl” room, where this hair accessory organizer now lives.  You may have also seen some of my other projects from their room, including how to make a bed skirt out of a flat sheet with NO SEWING OR CUTTING and how to make your own wall decals with washi tape.  I would love to see you over at my blog some time. Now let’s get on to the tutorial!

Materials Needed to Make a DIY Bow and Headband Organizer

Steps to Make a DIY Bow and Headband Organizer

1) Paint your wood frame.  I used some pink paint that I already had on hand.  Using my foam brush, I painted a very thin coat of paint over the surface.  I used only a single coat, because I wanted some wood grain to show through.

2) Once your paint is dry, flip your frame over.  Attach 3 or 4 lengths of ribbon to the back side of the frame with a regular old desk stapler.

3) Using a hot glue gun and a coordinating ribbon, create loops on one of your lengths of ribbon.  This will hold your headbands.

4) Put all of your bows and headbands and then hang it wherever you like!  I hung my girls’ on the back of their closet door.
